300L Vodka and Gin Distillery Equipment Project in Seychelles

300L Vodka and Gin Distillery Equipment Project in Seychelles

Zveřejněno
Aktualizováno

A distillery in Seychelles selected ZR Brew for a 300L multi-functional vodka distiller and a separate 300L gin distiller, creating a flexible equipment setup for producing different styles of spirits within the same facility.

Rather than relying on one distillation configuration for every product, the project uses dedicated equipment for vodka and gin production. ZR Brew also provided on-site installation support, helping the customer assemble and connect the distillation equipment at the project location.

Přehled projektu

Project Location: Seychelles
Industry: Distillery / Spirit Production
Equipment Supplier: ZR Brew
Project Type: Commercial Craft Distillery Equipment
Main Equipment:

  • 1 × 300L Multi-Functional Vodka Distiller
  • 1 × 300L Gin Distiller
  • Supporting tanks, piping and process components according to the project configuration
  • On-site installation support

The two distillers were selected for different production purposes while forming part of the customer’s broader distillery equipment setup.

Why Did the Customer Choose Two 300L Distillers?

Vodka and gin share part of the same spirit-production chain, but they do not place exactly the same demands on the distillation equipment.

For vodka production, the distillation system needs effective separation and rectification. A multi-functional configuration can combine the still pot, column, dephlegmator and condenser t to give the distiller greater control over the distillation process.

Gin production has another requirement: botanical flavor extraction.

A dedicated gin distiller can be configured around the way the producer plans to work with juniper and other botanicals. Depending on the confirmed process design, a gin basket or related botanical-infusion arrangement can be incorporated into the system.

For this Seychelles project, purchasing two dedicated 300L systems gives the customer a clearer equipment arrangement for the two product lines instead of forcing both production processes through one fixed configuration.

300L Multi-Functional Vodka Distiller

The first major piece of equipment supplied for the project is a 300L multi-functional distiller.

ZR Brew’s 300L multifunctional distillation platform is designed around a modular configuration. Depending on the target spirit and confirmed project specification, the system can integrate components such as:

  • Still pot
  • Onion head or swan neck
  • Distillation column
  • Dephlegmator
  • Condenser
  • Process piping
  • Spirit collection components

The column is especially important for vodka production because repeated vapor-liquid contact provides additional rectification compared with a simple pot still arrangement.

This gives the distiller more control over the desired spirit characteristics and makes the 300L platform suitable for a commercial craft distillery that requires more flexibility than a basic still.

Dedicated 300L Gin Distiller

The customer also purchased a 300L gin distiller.

Gin production differs from neutral-spirit production because the distiller must consider not only alcohol distillation but also how botanical aromas are introduced and retained.

Juniper is central to gin, while a producer may also develop recipes using citrus peel, herbs, spices, roots and other botanicals. The equipment configuration therefore needs to match the customer’s intended distillation method.

A dedicated gin system also gives the distillery greater operational separation between vodka and gin production.

Instead of repeatedly reconfiguring one machine between two product types, the customer has separate production equipment available for each process.

For a distillery planning to develop multiple commercial spirit products, this can provide a more practical foundation for production scheduling and future product development.

Copper and Stainless Steel Distillery Equipment Configuration

One of the most visible characteristics of the Seychelles project is its combination of copper distillation components and stainless steel process equipment.

Copper is widely used in spirit distillation and is particularly valuable where vapor contact with copper is part of the process design. Stainless steel, meanwhile, provides a durable and sanitary material for tanks, frames, piping and other process components.

The project therefore demonstrates the flexibility of a hybrid distillery equipment configuration rather than requiring every component to use the same material.

This approach allows equipment material to be selected according to its actual function in the production process.

From Factory Manufacturing to Installation in Seychelles

Building the equipment was only one stage of this project.

After manufacturing and preparation, the distillery system was shipped to Seychelles for installation. The site photographs show ZR Brew personnel working directly on the equipment during the installation process.

On-site work included the assembly and connection of the distillation system and its associated process components according to the project configuration.

Seychelles 300L vodka distiller Installation

For international distillery projects, installation planning is particularly important. A complete system contains tall columns, tanks, valves, piping and multiple process connections. These components must work together after the equipment reaches the customer’s facility.

This is why ZR Brew approaches the project as more than the delivery of an individual distilling machine.

A Compact Distillery Setup for Multi-Spirit Production

The finished installation brings several process components together within the customer’s available indoor space.

The photographs show the 300L distillation equipment integrated with stainless steel tanks and process piping, with the copper columns extending vertically to use the available building height efficiently.

For buyers planning a new distillery, this highlights an important point:

Equipment capacity alone does not determine whether a distillery system will fit a project.

Before manufacturing, buyers should also consider:

Project Factor Why It Matters
Ceiling height Determines available column configuration and installation clearance
Floor space Affects tank and equipment arrangement
Equipment access Equipment must physically enter the facility
Heating utilities Must match the selected distillation system
Cooling water Required for condensation
Drainage Important for cleaning and operation
Electrical supply Must match pumps, controls and auxiliary equipment
Production plan Determines whether one or multiple systems are appropriate

For a project using both vodka and gin equipment, layout planning also needs to consider how operators will move between the two production areas and access valves, tanks and cleaning points.

Why a 300L Distillery System Works for Craft Spirit Production

A 300L system sits in a useful position between very small pilot equipment and much larger commercial distillation plants.

For a craft distillery, it provides enough capacity for structured batch production while remaining relatively compact. More importantly, equipment can be configured around the actual spirit rather than simply increasing tank volume.

In this Seychelles project, the customer chose two 300L systems instead of treating all spirit production as one process.

That distinction matters.

Vodka production benefits from a configuration focused on rectification and distillation control.

Gin production requires equipment that supports the customer’s botanical distillation process.

Together, the two systems provide a broader production platform for the distillery.

ZR Brew’s Approach to Custom Distillery Projects

At ZR Brew, we manufacture brewery, fermentation, beverage and distillery equipment for international B2B projects.

For distillery projects, we do not recommend equipment based only on a requested capacity. Before finalizing the configuration, the target spirit and production process need to be understood.

For example, a customer asking for a “300L distiller” may actually need very different equipment depending on whether the final product is:

  • Vodka
  • Gin
  • Whiskey
  • Rum
  • Brandy
  • Multiple spirits

The required still pot, column, dephlegmator, gin basket, condenser, material combination, heating method, control system and supporting tanks can therefore change from one project to another.

The Seychelles project is a clear example. The customer required both vodka and gin production, so the project was configured with a 300L multi-functional vodka distiller and a dedicated 300L gin distiller rather than treating the two applications as identical.

Planning a Vodka or Gin Distillery?

The Seychelles project demonstrates why selecting distillery equipment should begin with the spirit and process, not simply the vessel capacity.

Two distilleries may both request a 300L system yet require very different configurations. Vodka, gin, whiskey, brandy and rum each create different requirements for vapor paths, columns, copper contact, botanical handling and process control.

ZR Brew provides customizable distillery equipment for craft and commercial spirit projects, including pot stills, column systems, gin distillers, multifunctional distillers, fermentation tanks, mixing tanks, storage tanks and complete distillery systems.

If you are planning a new distillery, the most useful information to provide is:

  • Target spirit: vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, brandy or multiple spirits
  • Required batch capacity
  • Raw material
  • Target distillation process
  • Available floor space and ceiling height
  • Heating conditions
  • Local electrical supply
  • Required automation level
  • Supporting fermentation and storage requirements
